TFN is excited today to premiere the return of Australian psychedelic pop outfit Sunfruits. The band’s new single and video is entitled “Made To Love,” and its 70’s classic glam rock groove is a true celebration, as it’s nearly been two years from their last single release!
The immediate difference you will hear on “Made To Love” is guitarist Evie Vlah taking more of a lead as frontman Winter McQuinn supplies the dueling vocals. Her charisma and swagger rules the video while the band turns up the fuzz on guitar with a Ty Segall style while Sunfruits give their best glam performance that is a good mix of Slade and New York Dolls while easily hanging with Australian rock peers like The Murlocs and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. “Made To Love” was created to play loud so let it rip!
“I wanted the video to give people a short and punchy hit of nostalgia. We handmade all the props and edited it ourselves, adding in all the 70s flair we could.”
— Evie Vlah, vocalist & guitarist
To celebrate the release of their new single, Sunfruits are playing a series of live dates across Australia in August.
